3 miles at 5:55 pace.  I went for a short run to test the knee out.  It starting bugging me about a mile in.  I decided to go a bit further and faster to see how it would respond.  I ran the second mile in 5:06, and it hurt much less going faster.  I slowed back down the third mile and it hurt a bit more again.  So, it hurts less going fast.  What does that mean? I have no idea.

Had a few extra minutes so I biked 15 more minutes then did my 10.5 minute ab workout.

It looks like I'll be off of running a few more days and maybe I'll test the knee out again Thursday or Friday.

Sorry to hear about your knee that sucks. You are in great shape just focus on getting it better and you will be back. Have you ever got a massage from Sariah? She is awesome. Maybe that will help. Maybe the problem is cuz your tight somewhere else and its putting strain on your knee..Its worth a shot.

Funny you ask, I just had Sariah work on my legs last Friday. I had the same thoughts that something was tight in the upper leg causing the stress on the knee. If that was the case, then this inflammation should start to dwindle.

I feel like I'm losing fitness and it's driving me nuts. But hopefully I can get back at it soon.

Hang in there, dude! You'll kick this knee thing in a hurry.

I've got a super good chiropractor down in your neck of the woods named Dr. Eric Rawlin. He's not like your typical chiro who adjusts your body and tells you that you need to see him every 4-6 weeks. His specialty is Advanced Muscle Integration Technique (AMIT)--he learned this practice from Dr. Craig Buhler, John Stockton's doctor durring his time with the Jazz.

I've referred more than a dozen folks to him for knee, IT band, shin, and foot issues. In very few occasions their results have been so-so. Most, like me, have had remarkable results.

Here's a link to a good web site that describes the practice of AMIT (http://www.amitmethod.com/)

Dr. Rawlin is easy to find with a Google search. The name of his practice is Rawlin Chiropractic.

Just wanted to bear my testimony about Dr. Rawlin. Scott referred him to me and he helped my workout a shin/tibia issue. Its definitely worth a try (and the drive to Syracuse).

Thanks for the encouragement and referral. If the knee doesn't get better within a week or so, I will give your guy a call.
