AEROBIC BUILDER

Another 545 am run with they guys at the parkway.  Ken, Jon, Bryant, and Brett H showed up this morning.  We warmed up two miles and then started into the workout.  About 1.5 miles in there's a sharp left turn onto a bridge crossing the Weber River and Ken and I were running side by side in front.  Ken was inside and as he took the turn onto the bridge we realized it was frosted over and slick, but we realized too late (going too fast and it was dark).  Ken's foot slipped out from under him.  Meanwhile I see this happening out of the corner of my eye and I try to step gingerly so as not to eat it as well.  Just when I think I've succeeded in not falling, Ken slides on his side into my planted foot and takes me out as well.  We both hurt our left hip pretty badly on the fall.  I think it's just a bruise, but it hurts.  It was both funny and irratating at the same time!

Anyway after a minute or so we got back to running.  We ended up averaging 5:49 pace for 8 miles...very nice run.  The weather was awesome this morning too.

Bridges + Winter are always a deadly combo.

Haha, yeah that is very true. I guess we just didn't think about it since it was somewhat warm this morning and we had already gone over one bridge (which on the way back I realized was cement and not wood, hence no prob on that one).

Needless to say on the next two bridges and on the way back we were very careful.
