AEROBIC BUILDER

We got an awesome group out this morning for an aerobic builder.  I met up with Ken, Jace, Jon, Bryant, Hales, and Ben at the 21st street exit.  We warmed up two miles and then did an 8-mile aerobic builder.  During the first mile Ken told the story of when he and I met Mike Tyson in Las Vegas at Fat Burger and how he and Tyson had a bonding moment, thanks to my Coca-Cola Classic!  After 5 miles there wasn't a ton of conversation, just a few comments here and there.

The pace was quite brisk, we averaged 5:36 for 8 miles.  It was fun to run with everyone and it was a great start to 2013!  Happy New Year's y'all!

My mileage for 2012 ended up being 2611 miles.  In 2011 it was 2067 miles.  So I increased my mileage by just over 25%.  My goal for 2013 is going to be 3200 miles.

Great Run today. I blame Ken for my dropping back after 5 miles. Had me laughing to early in the run, wasted all my energy! haha! Glad to be out again with the boys. Solid group for sure. It would be great if we can get all of us to do the USATF circuit this year!

Great job Riley! Definitely a great way to start the New Year! You are in amazing shape. You guys have an awesome group. Big results for you guys to come in 2013! I'd love to hear the whole Mike Tyson story some time.

Ben, it's totally Ken's fault!

Matt, the Tyson story is good stuff! One day if we ever get to run with you guys we'll tell it to you. Nice job on your mileage, I wish I had the determination to get mine up higher!

Riley, I am excited for you to do PHX. Good choice in my opinion also between the two. I feel you will do fine in either, but I think you will do better in PHX. You are definitely primed and ready for a breakout marathon performance. I am hopeful as others on here have expressed that you get over this sick bug quickly. Hopefully you dont tease your body too much with trying to "hurry up" your recovery. Be wise my friend. Look forward to seeing you down there...maybe sooner :)
