MILES & QUARTERS

I met Bryant at the 21st Street Pond to do a light hard workout to keep our fitness sharp.  We did three by one mile and four by a quarter mile.  Splits: 4:55 4:53 4:51 then 4:00 rest and 1:09 1:05 1:05 1:04

We saw Coach Hislop at the end and had a good chat with him.  He was about to start his 8-mile walk.  It's always good to see Coach, he made me the runner I am today.

Oh and I forgot to mention I think one of the homeless men who sleeps near the pond yanked my UA earwarmer that I took off after the second interval and set on a sign.  It was gone and nowhere to be seen when we finished.  If I see a homeless man wearing it later on, I will certainly just let him keep it, it'd be funny to see though!  Now I need to buy a new earwarmer though!

That's a great session. Nice work!

Thanks Scott. I was impressed Bryant wanted to do a hard workout this soon after his marathon. But apparantly that race didn't take anymore out of him than a regular Saturday run, dude's fit!

I'd say he's fit. You both are. I still have heavy legs from Boston. I'm sure it doesn't have anything to do with age.

How is the knee?

From RileyCook on Sat, Apr 27, 2013 at 22:46:51 from 65.130.68.80

My knee has been pretty good this week. It's not gone, but there's no pain or discomfort. It is barely noticeable but still there a bit. If I keep icing it and wearing the compression sleeve it should be gone somewhat soon I think.
