AM: 9 miles easy @ 6:39 pace.  Met at Riverdale Parkway at 5:45 with Bret, Bryant, and Steve.  This is looking like it will be a weekly Tuesday morning group, which is good.

PM: 3.42 Miles @ 6:23 pace.  I didn't plan on a second run today.  But I finally gave in and bought a GPS watch (Garmin 610) last week and it arrived in the mail today.  So, I had to try it out right?  I even tried out the heart rate monitor.  I am not sure yet how often I will use it, but it's still nice to have.

Sounds like you have a great Tuesday crew!

Welcome to team garmin. It took me until last july to finally convert.

They are really useful on long tempos runs, and now that you are turning yourself into a marathoner, you'll get your money's worth! :-)

Andrea, yeah it's a good group. Not only is it good company, but it's fast company. Bret was a 14:09 5k guy. Bryant was a 29:38 10k guy. And Steve was a 3:46 1500 guy. They make for good training partners.

Jake, I already love the watch. Now I can do tempos anywhere and still get my splits. Whereas before I had to go to places where the miles were marked. It's going to be nice!
