5.55 miles easy.  I snuck a quick easy run in before lunch on base.  My legs feel a bit better and they feel better this week than they did last Friday.  So that's good.  I am running the Wildcalt Half Marathon tomorrow up in Huntsville.  The goal is to run under 1:11, it's a relatively flat course with soft rolling hills.  It should be fun.

Have a great race tomorrow! It is impressive to me how resilient your body is to racing--you can crank out 1/2's every week. Such a strong runner.

Thanks Scott. I hope it goes well. It's not too late for you to come up and join us tomorrow. They have same-day registration I think ;-)

Only kind of tempting :-) It's fun to see you and Ben, which only happens at races. It's not fun to get my doors blown off by you, which also happens at races. To be honest, I see you running at that next level for me and do want to test my metal to see where I'm at. I'd like to have fresh legs when you show up to a race, which I don't have right now.

I'm running 20 miles in the morning (10 slow/10 at MP) with Sasha. The good news is that he does most of the talking, so I can just relax :-) My focus has been on building my base back up these last couple weeks.

Hey that'd make two of us without fresh legs, I'm hoping to hit 78 miles this week. That'll be a new weekly all-time high for me.

But it's a low-key half marathon (although it will be way competitive through five to six guys) and I don't blame you for not wanting to come up for it.

I did notice that you've been cranking the miles lately. Sheesh. I think I'm doing well and then I don't even show up on the front page of the mileage board! Enjoy your 20 miles, that'll be good training for ya.
