8.1 miles easy with Ken and Dave. Well, that was a miserable run! I got sick Saturday night and felt horrible when I woke up this morning. But, of course being the stubborn runner that I am I was determined to not miss a run (what compels us to run no matter what?). I had zero energy and either Dave or me was stopping every few minutes to hack up a lung; we felt bad for Ken as we kept him running quite slowly.

The timing for this cold sucks, again. But I have almost a week to get rid of this cold and try to get back to full strength for the race! Come on EmergenC! If I had no choice but to get sick, I guess this is the right time, since I didn't miss any key workouts and only had a primer scheduled this week.

I got my first shipment of shoes from Brooks, complete with feeze-dried ice cream, because yeah Brooks is cool!

Dude... you really got sick? Crap. That sucks. Hope things will clear up and you'll feel like rolling when the time comes this weekend. Good luck with getting healthy this week.

Yeah it sucks big-time! Let's just hope I can get well in time. Thanks for the support gents.
