My main goal is just to stay healthy.  I was injured every year in my college career except for one.  I would like to reverse that trend and always stay injury-free.

I am a family man.  I am married to my beautiful wife Amy (who also ran at Weber and is quite the runner).  We have four beautiful daughters named Evelyn (6 years old), Hannah (4 year old), Nora (2 year old), and Iris (5 months).

AM: 11.75 miles easy at work with Denver and Dave, avg pace 7:17/mile. Then Dave and I did some light lower body lifting.

PM: 3.4 miles easy in my neighborhood, avg pace 6:44/mile. I tried to keep my heart rate at 130 bpm the whole run and was pretty close with a 126 bpm average. After the run I did some core.

LONG ADVENTURE RUN

We did a very unique and awesome run this morning. Denver, Dave, Ben, Jared, Jon, Bryant and I met at Jared's in Syracuse and headed out to Antelope Island. From there we ran the Causeway for just over a mile and then hit a natural sandbar that appears only when the Great Salt Lake is very low. The sandbar is well over 100 meters wide and goes 7.5 miles or so to Fremont Island. Once to Fremont, we climbed up to the highest point. Stunning views of the Wasatch Front front the middle of the lake. Overall, we averaged a 7:50/mile pace, but had a few very slow miles bushwhacking and climbing on the island. Here's a few photos:
